Sun Apr 19	Open House 13200 Peacock Ln, Charlotte, NC 28215 Start: 1:00 PM End: 3:00 PM Join us at the Bradfield Farms Peacock pool clubhouse for Open House! You can tour the facility with the coaches and purchase team merchandise. One member from each swimmer family is required to volunteer for at least 3 season volunteer opportunities. We have several opportunities to volunteer at our swim meets, a chance to be a Practice Parent for a specific day of the week, and a chance to volunteer to serve our swimmers at the end-of-year banquet. Mon May 4	Practice - Volunteers Needed 13200 Peacock Ln, Charlotte, NC 28215 Start: 6:00 PM End: 8:30 PM Practices Start Monday May 4 We will have practice Monday - Thursday at the Peacock Swimming Pool (13200 Peacock Ln, Charlotte, NC 28215). In June, Mondays and Thursdays will be our meet nights. See a full schedule in SwimTopia. Practices May 4 - June 23 6-6:30 for Shrimpers (ages 4-6) 6:30-7:30 for ages 10 and Under 7:30-8:30 for ages 11 and Up Practice Volunteers are needed. Please see sign-up if you would like to opt-in to being a designated volunteer for a specific night of practices. These Parent Practice Volunteers will help the coaches monitor the swimmers in the pool and discipline misbehaving children as needed. You will sign up for this role for all Mondays, or all Tuesdays, or all Wednesdays, or all Thursday practices. Those choosing Tuesday or Wednesday practices will be responsible for both May and June practices and therefore do not need to volunteer for swim meet responsibilities.
Tue-Thu May 5-7	Mandatory Parent Meetings 13200 Peacock Ln, Charlotte, NC 28215 Start: 6:00 PM End: 8:30 PM Each swimmer group will have a mandatory parent meeting during their child's practice. We will step into the clubhouse, and the Swim Team Board will share important information about the season. Please plan to have at least one parent attend. We will also use this time to handout Welcome Bags with gifts for your swimmer. 6:05-6:25 for parents of Shrimpers ages 4 to 6 6:35-7 for parents of swimmers ages 10 and Under 7:35-8 for parents of swimmers ages 11 and Up Please select which Mandatory Parent Meeting you will attend by selecting a "job" for this event. We have two Mandatory Parent Meeting options... Tuesday May 5th or Thursday May 7th. You only need to attend one meeting, even if you have swimmers in different age groups. Please pick which night of week, and time of night (meeting) works best for at least one parent to attend. Additionally, one member from each swimmer family is required to volunteer for at least 3 season volunteer opportunities. Mon May 18	Team Photo 13200 Peacock Ln, Charlotte, NC 28215 Start: 6:00 PM End: 6:30 PM Team Picture at Practice! Sign-up for individual photos will come through email. We will aim to do individual pictures from 6-6:45 and then a team photo at 6:45 PM. There will be no shrimper practice. We will do a combined practice for swimmers ages 7+ from 7-8:30. This will allow the older swimmers to assist the younger swimmers and show off some of their technique! If photos are rained out on May 18 our makeup photo day will be May 21.
Thu May 28	Time Trial Meet Bradfield Farms Start: 6:00 PM Warm-up: 5:30 PM End: 8:30 PM Time Trail is a practice meet where we will give swimmers and parents a chance to experience what a home meet feels like. Not all events will be completed, but parents will be expected to sign up for volunteer roles and fufill them. We will start with meetings to help everyone understand how the meet will go, and then we will swim until 8:30 PM. Shrimpers will be done by 6:45 PM and all other swimmers are asked to stay until 8:30 PM, or until they have swam all meets Coach Tiesyn enters them in.
Mon Jun 1	HOME: Magnolia Springs @ Bradfield Farms Bradfield Farms Start: 6:00 PM Warm-up: 5:00 PM Warmups for all swimmers begin at 5:30 PM. Please arrive to the pool around 5PM. Your child will need to have their swim "Event #, Heat #, and Lane #" information marked on their body. NEW this year: we will have swimmer registration helpers who not only check-in the swimmer for each meet, but can assist with body marking, if needed. You can find body marking information on our website under the "Meets: What to Expect" tab. One member from each swimmer family is required to volunteer for at least 3 season volunteer opportunities. We have several opportunities to volunteer at our swim meets, a chance to be a Practice Parent for a specific day of the week, and a chance to volunteer to serve our swimmers at the end-of-year banquet.
